8:43 Then listen from your heavenly dwelling place and answer all the prayers of the foreigners. ¹  Then all the nations of the earth will acknowledge your reputation, ²  obey ³  you like your people Israel do, and recognize that this temple I built belongs to you. ⁴

Rehoboam’s Reign over Judah

14:21 Now Rehoboam son of Solomon ruled in Judah. He ⁵  was forty-one years old when he became king and he ruled for seventeen years in Jerusalem, ⁶  the city the Lord chose from all the tribes of Israel to be his home. ⁷  His mother was an Ammonite woman ⁸  named Naamah.
